PM Hun Sen Pays Tribute to Parents-in-Law

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen have organized a three-year anniversary ceremony dedicated to the souls of Bun Seangly and Lin Kry, Prime Minister Hun Sen’s Parents-in-Law, and First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen’s biological parents.

The ceremony took place on Wednesday morning (4 May), with Prime Minister Hun Sen and First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen’s family, relatives, and friends in attendance.

The Prime Minister and First Lady made offerings to bless the souls of Bun Seangly and Lin Kry with devotional service, giving alms, and with dedication to the merits of the monks.

The Supreme Patriarch of Cambodia bestowed blessings on the spirits of Bun Seangly and Lin Kry, who have moved to the next world in heaven, asking for happiness, no distractions, and blessings. The Supreme Patriarch prayed for the protection of the sacred objects of the deities in the world, to please follow and protect the Prime Minister and First Lady, and to continue blessing them with great power, to win against all enemies and continue being the best leader in Cambodia, in order to maintain peace and develop the Kingdom to be more prosperous.

It should be noted that Bun Seangly, the birth mother of First Lady Bun Rany Hun Sen, passed away on 4 May 2020 at the age of 95.
